MAURITIUS revamped its companies law at the end of May.

The new rules are expected to take effect in October.  Suzanne Gujadhur with the Mutual Trust Management Group in Port Louis reports that “there will not be a great difference between the old regime for the offshore sector and the new.” US companies often use holding companies in Mauritius to make investments into China, India and Pakistan.
